What the assistant can do is on one page.

The assistant works from a fixed catalogue of capabilities, each with its name and its kind: it reads, it produces a file, or it files a proposal. The management view shows that catalogue in full and switches every capability off per role. The trainee gets a different assistant from the notary, and nobody has to touch a configuration file for it.

What was asked and answered about a file stays saved with the matter: named, resumable, visible to everyone who has that file open. It survives closing the assistant and signing out — and it can be deleted.

Are the old files uploaded somewhere for this?

No. They are read in locally on your own instance. The archive does not leave the building at any point.

Does the module give legal advice?

No. It finds and evidences what is in your archive. The assessment stays with you.

How long does reading in take?

It depends on the volume and the scan quality; it runs in the background over days, not weeks. Searching is possible as soon as the first parts are indexed.

Can the assistant be connected to our own programs?

Yes, through tool servers on the same machine — a service run by the office IT, a document management system, a scanning service. They are entered in a file, by hand and with a restart, and only what stands in that file is connected. From then on external tools run under the same rules as the built-in capabilities: the same limits, the same audit log, no route to the outside. Without that file NotarFlow behaves exactly as it does without the feature.
